What are the types of crushers?

Crushing is a device that applies mechanical force to solid materials to overcome the cohesive force of the materials and break them into small pieces.
Commonly used crusher types are: Jaw crusher, Roller crusher, Hammer crusher and Impact crusher.

1. Jaw crusher is a crushing machine that uses two jaw plates to squeeze and bend materials to coarsely or mediumly crush materials of various hardness. The crushing mechanism is composed of a fixed jaw plate and a movable jaw plate. When the two jaw plates are close to each other, the material is crushed. When the two jaw plates leave, the material block smaller than the discharge port is discharged from the bottom. Its breaking action is carried out intermittently. This crusher is widely used in industrial sectors such as ore dressing, building materials, silicate and ceramics due to its advantages of simple structure, reliable operation and ability to crush hard materials.

2. The roller crusher is a machine that uses the friction force of the roller surface to bite the material into the crushing area, so that it can withstand crushing or crushing. When used for coarse crushing or when the crushing ratio needs to be increased, teeth or grooves are often made on the roller surface to increase the cleaving effect.

Roller crushers are generally divided into single-roller, double-roller and multi-roller crushers according to the number of rollers, suitable for coarse, medium or fine crushed coal, limestone, cement clinker and feldspar and other medium-hard materials.

3. Hammer crusher is a crushing machine that uses the high-speed impact of the hammer head to perform medium and fine crushing of materials. The hammer head is hinged to the rotor rotating at high speed, and the lower part of the machine body is equipped with grate bars to control the discharge granularity. The material fed into the crusher is firstly crushed by the impact of the hammer head moving at high speed for the first time, and at the same time gaining kinetic energy, the material flies to the crushing plate on the inner wall of the casing and is crushed again. The material smaller than the grate gap is discharged out of the machine, and the material block larger than the grate gap is again impacted and grinded by the hammer head on the grate until it is discharged after being smaller than the grate gap.

4. The impact crusher is a machine that uses the high-speed impact of the hammer and the rebound effect of the impact plate to make the material crushed by repeated impacts. The hammer is fixed on the rotor rotating at high speed, and several counterattack plates are arranged at different angles along the crushing cavity.

When the material enters the action area of the hammer, it is crushed for the first time by the first impact of the hammer, and at the same time, it gains kinetic energy and rushes to the counterattack at high speed. After the material collides with the impact plate and breaks again, it is bounced back to the action area of the plate hammer and is again impacted by the plate hammer. This is repeated until it is crushed to the required particle size and discharged out of the machine.
