1. The pH of the slurry has a greater impact on the amalgamation effect. The mercury mixing effect in the acidic medium and cyanide solution is good, but in the case of a lot of sludge, because the acidic medium cannot make the sludge agglomerate, the sludge pollutes the surface of the gold particles, which affects the effect of amalgamation.
2. The quality of mercury has a great influence on the effect of mercury mixing. Pure mercury does not wet gold well. A small amount of gold, silver, and base metals in mercury can reduce the surface tension of mercury and improve the wetting effect.
