Gold exits in the nature in different ways, to separate gold, the main method is gravity separation, flotation separation and cyanide leaching separation, but how to choose which method is the best, let's talk about it.
We have some small tips.
Oxidized gold ore: the raw ore is severely weathered, sulfides already decomposed into limonite, exposing the gold.., we use heap leaching or CIP, heap leaching has the advantage of low invest and fast return, for low grade gold.
Coarse-grained natural gold ore:The gold particles are coarse, usually ＞0.1mm,no any sulfide,can use gravity separate to recovery gold.
Single, easy leaching gold:The gold exists in fine grains in gangue stones like quartz,no other harmful element like carbon, copper, arsenic, the leaching rate is usually very high. Can directly use gold cip leaching.
Sulfide gold deposit, in easy words, we say gold is hidden within sulfide minerals such as pyrite and is invisible to the naked eye. By using normal ways like gravity separation and heap leaching, it hardly can separate the gold,usually need grinding and chemical leaching or flotation to separate.
On the contrary,if the gold is wrapped by sulfides, or the gold ore along with copper,lead, zinc, arsenic etc… element, should use flotation.
