The Zircon Ore Sand Processing Plant is designed for efficient cleaning, separation, and upgrading of zircon mineral extracted from various geological environments. Commonly used in zircon mining, this system provides a reliable and streamlined process for washing, purifying, and recovering zircon sand from raw ore materials. The plant offers stable operation, simple structural design, and convenient maintenance, making it suitable for sand factories, mining areas, and mineral processing sites.

Beyond zircon sand, the plant is also capable of cleaning and processing pebbles, limestone, quartz sand, and similar materials. With high washing efficiency and fast removal of impurities, it ensures long service life while minimizing wear and operational failures. Users can confidently operate the system while reducing overall maintenance costs. The complete workflow covers feeding, gravity concentration, and electrostatic separation to deliver high-purity zircon products.

Work Process

The Zircon Ore Sand Processing Plant follows a proven workflow widely used in zircon mining and heavy mineral recovery operations:

Feeding: Material is first fed from the ore bin into the processing line.

Gravity Concentration: The slurry enters the shaking table, where silica and lighter impurities are removed.

Drying Stage: Concentrated material is dried using a mechanical dryer or natural sun-drying method.

Magnetic Separation: The dry ore is processed through a single-roll magnetic separator to separate ilmenite concentrate from mixed zircon sand.

Optional Upgrading: A three-disc electromagnetic separator can be added for niobium and other rare mineral recovery.

Electrostatic Separation: Double-roller and arc-plate electrostatic separators are used to recover rutile and upgrade zircon mineral content to 60–65%.

This multi-stage system delivers consistent and high-quality zircon concentrate while ensuring efficient mineral recovery across various processing stages.

Our Zircon Ore Sand Processing Plant has been successfully deployed in multiple zircon mining sites. Currently, two full-scale zircon sand washing plants are operating in Nigeria with excellent customer feedback regarding stability, processing capacity, and final zircon quality.
