1. Main minerals
Vanadium is a silver-white metal. Most of the vanadium in nature is in a dispersed state, and is often produced with other elements. It is rarely enriched in industrial deposits. The more important vanadium-containing minerals are as follows:

Green sulfur vanadium ore
(V2S+NS)containing V converted to V2O6Contains V2O625%
Vanadium mica2K2O.2Al2O3.(Mg.Fe)0.3V2O6.10SiO2.4H2OContainsV2O6 19-29%
Sulphur vanadium copper oreCu3VS4
Vanadium-lead-zinc ore(Pb,Zn)2(OH)VO4ContainsV2O622.7%

2. General industrial requirements
1) A separate deposit of vanadium
Cut-off grade: V2O6 0.5%
Industrial grade: V2O6 0.7%
2) Deposits with vanadium as the associated component
V2O6≥0.1-0.5%
3. Comprehensive evaluation
There are few individual deposits of vanadium. It is mostly associated with magnetite, coal, uranium, phosphate, bauxite and other deposits.
